About The Event
School emergency preparedness and training should be all-inclusive of any staff
members who work on a school site with youth during school and out-of-school
hours, including after-school, before school, weekends and summer. Staff working
with students, pre-K to Grade 12, whether employed by the school/district or
another public or non-public entity, should be provided training that gives them the
necessary tools and resources to keep all children safe in times of trauma, crises
and/or natural disasters. This training session will provide guidance in partnering
and collaborating with the host school to align with existing school emergency
preparedness plans.
