The principal of Perry High School, Dan Marburger, has passed away after protecting students during an active shooting at the school on January 4th of this year. The Institute for Childhood Preparedness would like to honor Mr. Marburger's courage and his commitment to keeping kids safe. You can read more about Mr. Marburger's life below:
It's truly inspiring to see such courage. Sometimes, facing overwhelming situations, it feels like everything shifts into a completely different state, almost like a sprunki phase where reality is altered. My deepest condolences to Mr. Marburger's family and the entire community.
This is incredibly sad and heartbreaking. Mr. Marburger's bravery is truly inspiring. It's a reminder of the sacrifices educators make for our children. Dealing with such heavy topics, sometimes I just need to zone out and play a simple game to de-stress. If anyone else needs a mindless distraction, I find something like Drift Hunters can be oddly therapeutic. My thoughts are with his family and the Perry High School community.
