The Institute for Childhood Preparedness was proud to be a part of the 1st ever YMCA Disaster Aware Conference this past weekend in San Diego, California. The conference was put on by the YMCA Child Care Resource Service.
The conference brought over 300 early childhood professionals together to learn more about emergency and disaster preparedness. The first-ever event was a rousing success - which quickly hit capacity!
A short video showing highlights of the conference
Participants attended sessions in English and Spanish. After successfully attending the conference, participants received two free emergency backpacks - loaded with supplies to help them in the event of an emergency.
The Institute for Childhood Preparedness presented their Active Shooter Training Program and participated as a vendor, handing free first aid kits to all conference participants.
We congratulate the YMCA on their successful event and look forward to future collaborations!
